Vilmante Aleksiene, doctor of social sciences, a music therapist. Position: Assoc. Prof. at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre as well at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences; Chair of Lithuanian Music Therapy Association, the representative of European Music Therapy Confederation. Vilmantė Aleksienė leads music therapy courses, workshops, supervisions and experiential groups in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. She is co-author of several monographs, author of music therapy methodological publications; published over 30 articles in foreign and local press. The presentation will focus on community Music Therapy as innovative approach emphasizing human contentedness, health promotion, and social change.
